We are looking for an experienced SQL Database Administrator with strong expertise in Azure cloud environments. The role involves managing, optimizing, and securing SQL databases to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability. You will collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to design and maintain scalable database solutions.
Key Responsibilities:Manage and maintain SQL Server databases on-premise and in Azure.
Monitor database health, performance, and capacity; implement tuning and optimization.
Configure and manage high availability and disaster recovery (HA/DR) solutions.
Implement database security, backups, and compliance controls.
Troubleshoot and resolve database performance and connectivity issues.
Automate maintenance tasks using PowerShell or other scripting tools.
Work with developers to optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and schema design.
Stay updated on Azure SQL features and data technologies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server (2016/2019/2022) administration.
Hands-on experience with Azure SQL Database and Managed Instances.
Proficiency in backup, recovery, performance tuning, and HA/DR setups.
Familiarity with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, or Microsoft Fabric.
Experience in PowerShell scripting and automation.
Knowledge of database security, authentication, and encryption.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience with NoSQL databases or hybrid cloud environments.
Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or similar.
Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD database automation.
