Responsibilities:

Collaborates with the manager and/or director of spiritual care, hospital leadership, chaplain team, and other team members to ensure that their areas of responsibility maintain the high standards of the Spiritual Care department. Assumes advanced responsibilities for the organization of their designated areas in collaboration with the manager and director. Seeks to ensure that patient care is prioritized. Attends hospital and/or departmental huddle, first focus or other meetings, as designated, on behalf of the department, to ensure that regulatory standards for the area/department are maintained. Spiritual Care Coordinators may assume responsibility for assisting in scheduling of chaplain coverage as directed. May assume management of volunteer coordination and student coordination/mentoring/orientation for their area/hospital.

Minimum Qualifications:

Coordinator must be Board-Certified by the Association of Professional Chaplains (APC), National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC) or Neshma Association of Jewish Chaplains (NAJC).  An Ecclesiastical or Faith Group Endorsement is required. 1600 hours of Clinical Pastoral Education is Required.Masters - Theology Related; Or - Masters - Divinity; Or - Masters - Related Field
