The emergency department is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week with board certified physicians and advanced level practitioners who are well-trained to treat emergency needs. MercyOne Elkader Medical Center is certified as a Level IV Trauma Center by the Iowa Department of Public Health.

As a Speech Therapist at MercyOne, you will:

Plan, administer, implement, and evaluate speech therapy for all appropriate programs and services within the PM & R Department, for all patient age groupsPossess the skills necessary to provide direct patient care specific to each age group in accordance with department protocol

General Requirements:

Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology from accredited program.Certification by American Speech and Hearing Association or be eligible to be certified.Certificate of Clinical Competency once fully licensedLicensure (or eligibility for licensure) by the State of Iowa to practice as a Speech Therapist.  Employee may be within their Clinical Fellowship year if able to meet ASHA requirements for completion.
