Location: Saint Louis City
Schedule: 32.5 hours/week (choice of up to two weekly schedules: 7:00am–2:00pm, 8:00am–3:00pm, or 9:00am–4:00pm)
Assignment Type: In-person
Start Date: ASAP through the end of the service year
Pay: $63 per hour
Position Overview
The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for conducting evaluations, delivering therapy services, documenting treatment, and supporting the communication needs of individuals receiving services. This role requires flexibility, collaboration, and a strong commitment to meeting client needs across a range of ages and support levels.
The SLP may work at one or more nearby service sites depending on caseload requirements. Flexibility is an essential expectation of the position.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct speech, language, and communication evaluations in alignment with professional and regulatory standards.
+ Provide direct therapy services based on individualized plans of care and applicable orders.
+ Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, therapy sessions, progress notes, and related records.
+ Develop, write, and update individualized treatment plans and goals.
+ Serve individuals with diverse needs, including those with learning disabilities and Other Health Impairments (OHI), such as ADHD.
+ Provide therapy in both group and 1:1 settings as appropriate.
+ Collaborate with other service providers and stakeholders to support effective outcomes.
+ Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as professional standards of practice.
Caseload
+ Approximately 35–50 individuals, depending on service minutes.
+ Caseload will not exceed 50.
+ Services may involve clients across all age ranges.
Requirements
+ Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Licensure in the state of assignment.
+ Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred and may be required depending on contract or regulatory guidelines.
+ Compliance with relevant professional standards of practice.
+ Current CPR certification, if applicable.
+ TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray, if applicable.
+ Current health certificate (as required by contract or regulation).
+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.
+ Must be at least 18 years of age.
Work Environment
+ Fully in-person service role.
+ May require working at more than one nearby site depending on caseload needs.
+ No paraprofessional or clinical support staff assigned specific to this role.
