Speech-Language Pathologist (School-Based)
Contract Length: 15–18 Weeks
Start Date: January 2026 (Estimated Start: 2/17/2026)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | ~7.5 hours/day | 37.5 hours/week
Grade Levels: Elementary through High School
Position Overview
The School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist is responsible for conducting comprehensive student evaluations, delivering therapy services, and documenting all interventions in accordance with each student’s individualized plan of care and physician orders. This role supports students across a range of grade levels within the School District of Lee County.
Responsibilities
+ Perform speech, language, and communication evaluations for students.
+ Develop, implement, and document individualized therapy plans.
+ Deliver direct therapy services in accordance with IEP goals.
+ Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
+ Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines.
+ Complete required documentation and progress reports in a timely manner.
+ Participate in IEP meetings as needed.
Minimum Requirements
+ Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) License in the state of Florida.
+ CCC-SLP preferred (may be required depending on state or contract).
+ Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice.
+ Current CPR certification, if applicable.
+ Recent TB screening (questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray, if applicable).
+ Current Health Certificate (per state/district regulations).
+ Must meet all local, state, and federal requirements.
+ Must be 18 years or older.
