Clinical Fellow Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CF) – Inpatient Rehab Location: ClearSky Health – Inpatient Rehabilitation Address: Kenosha, WI
About the Role
ClearSky Health is seeking dedicated and skilled Clinical Fellow Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP-CFs) to support its inpatient rehabilitation program. This role involves providing high-quality speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing therapy under the supervision of a licensed SLP. Staff in this position will evaluate and treat adult patients recovering from stroke, cognitive impairments, communication disorders, and dysphagia while collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary rehab team.
Key Responsibilities
+ Provide comprehensive speech-language and swallowing therapy in an inpatient rehab setting
+ Utilize critical thinking and sound clinical judgment in all aspects of patient care
+ Conduct evaluations within required timelines (within 36 hours of admission)
+ Coordinate care plans and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
+ Maintain accurate documentation using the facility’s charting system
+ Uphold all federal, state, and facility-specific regulations and standards
+ Support the workflow, goals, and growth of the rehab therapy department
Shift Options
Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Schedules may include 5×8 (40 hours/week).
Minimum Requirements
+ Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program (Bachelor’s or Master’s)
+ Active Wisconsin SLP license (CF eligible)
+ Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements
+ Additional requirements: TB screening, health certificate, onboarding compliance
+ Experience with adult populations and dysphagia preferred
+ FEES and/or VitalStim certification preferred but not required
Compensation Packages
Local Clinical Fellow SLP Pay Rate: $65/hr Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,600
Travel Clinical Fellow SLP – 40 hrs Hourly Pay: $40/hr Meals: $476 Housing: $770 Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,846

ClearSky Health – Kenosha is an inpatient rehabilitation hospital offering:
+ Stroke rehabilitation
+ Cognitive-communication therapy
+ Dysphagia management
+ Individual, group, and concurrent therapy models
+ Interdisciplinary rehab team collaboration
Notable Features:
+ More acute than LTC, less acute than med-surg
+ Daily caseload of 7–9 patients (mostly 1:1 therapy)
+ DTO is an SLP and serves as a strong on-site resource
