Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Naperville/Warrenville, IL Pay Rate: $75–$80 per hour Schedule: In-Person | Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM–4:00 PM (30-minute unpaid break) Duration: ASAP Start – End of School Year Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a Therapeutic Day School team serving students diagnosed with autism. This in-person role focuses on conducting evaluations, delivering therapy services, and documenting progress in alignment with each student’s individualized plan of care and physician orders. The SLP will work alongside a collaborative team of speech and occupational therapists dedicated to supporting communication, socialization, and lifelong skill development for students across the autism spectrum. Key Responsibilities + Perform comprehensive speech-language evaluations. + Provide direct therapy services based on individualized treatment plans. + Document services and progress thoroughly and timely. + Contribute to diagnostic evaluations by assessing: + Receptive Language (comprehension) + Expressive Language (communication) + Pragmatics (social communication skills) + Utilize evidence-based tools and therapy approaches including: + Vocabulary development + Following directions and receptive language tasks + Expressive language and answering questions + Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) + Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members in a therapeutic school environment. Assignment Details + Modality/License Type: SLP – CCC PEL + Caseload: Autism-focused population + Delivery: 100% in person + Start Date: ASAP + End Date: End of School Year Minimum Requirements + Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) License in Illinois. + CCC-SLP preferred; may be required depending on site/contract. + Compliance with all professional practice standards. + Current CPR certification (if applicable). + TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray (as applicable). + Current Health Certificate per state or contract requirements. + Must meet all federal, state, and local regulations. + Must be 18 years of age or older. + Required experience working with students diagnosed with autism.
