Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) Placerville, CA | Part-Time (2.5–3 Days/Week) $50 per hour | ASAP Start – End of School Year Position Overview The Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) supports a supervising Speech Language Pathologist (VSLP) in delivering high-quality speech and language services to students. The SLPA participates in clinical, educational, documentation, and treatment-related activities within the scope of responsibilities defined by the supervising SLP and/or physician. This role requires a strong, capable SLPA who can work independently while maintaining compliance with all applicable professional and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities + Assist the supervising SLP in implementing treatment plans and therapy activities. + Provide direct therapy services to students under SLP supervision. + Collect and document session data, progress notes, and required records accurately. + Prepare therapy materials and support scheduling and organizational needs. + Communicate professionally with teachers, staff, and families within the defined SLPA scope of practice. + Follow the established plan of care and refrain from independent clinical decision-making. + Comply with all federal, state, district, and professional requirements. + Attend trainings, meetings, and supervision sessions as needed. + Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards. Minimum Requirements + Associate degree from an accredited SLPA program or bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders. + Minimum of 100 hours of supervised fieldwork or equivalent clinical experience required by state and/or contract. + Current California SLPA licensure/certification. + Demonstrated compliance with all professional standards of practice. + One (1) year of prior SLPA experience preferred. + TB questionnaire, PPD test, or chest X-ray as applicable. + Current Health Certificate (as required by state or contract). + Meets all federal, state, and local employment requirements. + Must be at least 18 years of age.
