Position Overview
Amergis Staffing is seeking one additional Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for the remainder of the 2025–2026 school year. The SLPA will support students in specialized programs, including autism support classrooms, with placements likely in a preschool setting.
The SLPA will work under the supervision and direction of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, assisting with treatment, clinical tasks, documentation, and educational support as outlined in each student’s plan of care.
Candidates must hold ASHA National SLPA Certification for this opening.
Key Responsibilities
+ Support the SLP in providing speech and language services to students.
+ Carry out treatment activities per assigned plan of care.
+ Assist with clinical and educational tasks within the SLPA scope of practice.
+ Document student progress and maintain required reporting.
+ Collaborate with SLPs, teachers, and support teams in special programs.
+ Work with students in autism support classrooms and other specialized programs.
+ Comply with all district, state, and professional standards.
Minimum Requirements
+ Associate’s degree from an SLPA program or bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
+ Minimum 100 hours of supervised fieldwork or equivalent.
+ Current SLPA certification/licensure in the state of practice.
+ ASHA National SLPA Certification required .
+ One year of SLPA experience preferred.
+ Compliance with all professional and ethical SLPA practice standards.
+ TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable).
+ Current Health Certificate (per contract or state regulations).
+ Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements.
+ Must be at least 18 years of age.
