Speech Language Pathologist Assistant- full-time

Helendale Unified School District is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support students in achieving their communication goals. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, school-based setting where your work directly impacts student growth and success.
Position Summary
The Speech-Language Pathology Assistant assists the Speech-Language Pathologist in delivering speech and language services to students. The SLPA performs clinical, educational, documentation, and treatment-related activities while working within the scope of responsibilities and plan of care assigned by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist and/or physician.
Minimum Requirements
+ Graduate of an SLPA program with an associate’s degree, or a bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
+ Successful completion of a minimum of 100 hours of supervised fieldwork or equivalent clinical experience as required by state and/or contract
+ Current Speech-Language Pathology Assistant certification or licensure in the State of California
+ Knowledge of and compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice
+ One (1) year of prior SLPA experience preferred
+ TB clearance (questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray if applicable)
+ Current Health Certificate (per contract or state regulation)
+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
