Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant – $40/hr – Stafford, TX – In Person – 25 WeeksPosition Overview The Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) supports the Speech-Language Pathologist in delivering speech and language services to students in a school setting. This role includes clinical support, documentation, and treatment-related activities completed under the direction of the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist and within the established plan of care. Assignment Details + Location: Stafford, TX + Start Date: March 9, 2026 + End Date: May 31, 2026 + Schedule: Monday–Friday + Hours: 37.5 hours per week + Duration: 19 weeks + Pay Rate: $40/hour + Modality: In Person + Openings: 2 positions + Interview Type: Virtual + Travel Requirement: None Classroom & Caseload Details + Grade Levels: Early Childhood through 5th grade or Middle/High School + Caseload Structure: Approximately 130 students across the district + Services are staggered (biweekly, monthly, or every six weeks) + Caseload is structured to remain manageable + Campus Coverage: Up to two nearby campuses Responsibilities + Assist with delivery of speech-language therapy services + Support implementation of treatment plans and IEP goals + Document services and student progress + Collaborate with supervising SLP and school staff + Assist with delivery of compensatory services as needed Requirements + Graduate of an accredited SLPA program with an associate’s degree or a bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders + Completion of at least 100 hours of supervised fieldwork or equivalent clinical experience + Active SLPA certification or licensure in the state of practice + Prior SLPA, school-based, pediatric, or child-focused experience required + Compliance with all professional standards of practice + TB Questionnaire, PPD, or Chest X-ray (if applicable) + Current health certificate per contract or state regulation + Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements + Must be at least 18 years of age Contact Information Cyrus Vess National Recruitment Manager Phone: 813-371-5185 Email: davess@amergis.com Benefits At Amergis, we firmly believe that our employees are the heartbeat of our organization and we are happy to offer the following benefits: + Competitive pay & weekly paychecks + Health, dental, vision, and life insurance + 401(k) savings plan + Awards and recognition programs *Benefit eligibility is dependent on employment status.
