The Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) supports the Speech-Language Pathologist by assisting with the delivery of speech and language services in a school setting. This role includes clinical, educational, documentation, and treatment-related activities performed within the scope of the plan of care established by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist and/or physician.

+ End Date: End of assignment (21 weeks)
+ Schedule: Monday–Friday
+ Hours: 37.5 hours per week (full days required)
+ Duration: 18 weeks
+ Pay Rate: $38/hour
+ Modality: In Person

Classroom & Caseload Details
+ Grade Levels: Varies (elementary through secondary)
+ Caseload Model: ASHA workload model
+ Classroom Type: Varies by campus
+ Support Model: Multidisciplinary school-based team
+ Group or Individual Services: As determined by student needs
Responsibilities
+ Assist with speech-language therapy services
+ Support implementation of treatment plans and IEP goals
+ Document services and student progress
+ Work collaboratively with supervising SLP and school staff
+ Participate in student support activities as assigned
Requirements
+ Graduate of an accredited SLPA program with an associate’s degree or a bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
+ Completion of a minimum of 100 hours of supervised fieldwork or equivalent clinical experience
+ Active SLPA certification or licensure in the state of practice
+ At least 1 year of prior SLPA experience preferred
+ Public school, pediatric, or child-based experience required
+ Compliance with all professional standards of practice
+ TB Questionnaire, PPD, or Chest X-ray (if applicable)
+ Current health certificate per contract or state regulation
+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
