Join our team as a Speech Language Pathologist. In the Speech Language Pathologist role you will:
Act responsible for a continuum of services providing care to patients with neurological, swallowing, speech-language, cognitive, pragmatic, voice and other cognitive related disorders requiring intervention by a Speech-Language Pathologist through an interdisciplinary approach. Utilizes rehab process to promote and restore optimal health to well-being of the patient. Assumes personal accountability for organizational mission and core values.Job Requirements

Two years of work experience providing direct patient care in an inpatient or outpatient setting preferredPrior use of electronic medical records (EMR), preferredMaster's degree in speech-language therapy with a Certificate of Clinical CompetenceCurrent Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American-Speech-Language-Hearing AssociationCurrent Speech Language Pathologist Certification with the State of ColoradoCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart AssociationPhysical Requirements-Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
The schedule for this position consists of three days per week, with the specific days varying depending on the week of the month.Please note that this role requires working one full weekend (Saturday and Sunday) every four weeks, as well as participation in a holiday rotation. We would prefer a candidate who has prior hospital or inpatient experience.Where You'll WorkPenrose-St. Francis Health Services is a full-service, 712-bed acute care provider in Colorado Springs comprising Penrose Hospital, St. Francis Hospital and St Francis Hospital - Interquest. St. Francis Hospital opened in 2008 to keep pace with the growing needs of the Colorado Springs' community on the north side of the city. St. Francis Hospital features 340-beds and offers a modern Birth Center, Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Cancer Center, Emergency Department, Level III Trauma Center, Imaging Services, Acute Inpatient Rehab, Surgical Services and Critical Care Unit. It also serves as southern Colorado's home base for the Flight For Life Colorado air medical transport service.
