Speech Language Pathologist

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Speech Language Pathologist, you will be a vital clinician, expertly assessing, diagnosing, and treating communication and swallowing disorders to significantly improve patient quality of life.

Every day, you will conduct comprehensive evaluations for all referred patients, meticulously implementing individualized treatment plans. You'll contribute clinical expertise to develop/upgrade treatment programs/protocols, and actively shape departmental and organizational goals.

To be successful in this role, you will possess advanced clinical knowledge, exceptional diagnostic/therapeutic skills, and a compassionate, patient-centered approach.

Clinical/Technical SkillsPerforms evaluations/re-evaluations, discharge summaries progressing patients toward goals and accurately documents results written/electronically on inpatients/outpatients and home environment according to SRDH and speech language pathology practice standards.Performs appropriate treatment which may include, but not limited to proper use of diagnostic, modalities and therapeutic procedures to maximize functional skills toward independence. Uses equipment specific to age and size of patient.Maintains a safe environment considering the patient's unique circumstances and risk factors related to age, physical limitations and mental status.Uses office or other Rehab equipment effectively & efficiently.Critical Thinking/Problem solving.
Job Requirements

Required:

Masters Other Completed all accredited education requirements to be in possession of avalid license & in good standing with ASHA, enabling them to practice as an Speech Language Pathologist in the Stateof Nevada., upon hire andEntry level accepted., upon hire andSpeech Language Pathologist: NV, upon hire andBasic Life Support - CPR, upon hire andClinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology, within 12 - months


Preferred:

Masters Other Completed post graduate education, or possesses certification or CEU's in Acute care, geriatrics, head & neck cancer,voice, swallow & MBS studies, pediatrics,NICU & neurology or any other clinicallyrelevant coursework/seminars., upon hire and1-3 years 1 year of hospital based, acute carepractice, upon hire.Where You'll Work
