Speech Language Pathologist
School-Based Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Location: Southeast of Sacramento, near San Andreas, CA Schedule: Full-time (2025 remainder of school year and 2026-27) Compensation: $90- $100/hour = Start Date: ASAP or next school term Contract Type: W-2 About the Role We’re seeking a bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist to support students in a school setting near San Andreas, California (southeast of Sacramento). You’ll provide direct services, evaluations, and consultative support across grade levels, collaborating closely with educators and families to help students access their curriculum and meet IEP goals. Key Responsibilities + Assessment & Eligibility + Conduct comprehensive speech, language, fluency, voice, and pragmatic language evaluations. + Administer standardized and informal assessments; write legally compliant evaluation reports. + Participate in MTSS/RTI processes and make data-informed recommendations. + IEP Process & Compliance + Draft goals/objectives aligned to standards and student needs. + Lead and participate in IEP meetings; maintain accurate documentation and timelines. + Utilize California IEP platforms such as SEIS, SIRAS, or Welligent for case management, progress reporting, and service logging. + Direct & Indirect Services + Provide individual and small-group therapy based on IEPs and evidence-based practices. + Deliver push-in and pull-out services; support generalization of skills in the classroom. + Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans using data-driven decision-making. + Collaboration & Consultation + Partner with teachers, psychologists, OTs/PTs, administrators, and families. + Provide teacher coaching, classroom strategies, and culturally/linguistically responsive supports. + Communicate effectively with caregivers in English and the second language (Spanish preferred, other languages welcome). + Program Support + Contribute to Child Find, screenings, and referrals. + Support AAC evaluations and device trials (as appropriate); coordinate with vendors/AT teams. + Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all federal/state regulations (IDEA, FERPA) and district policies. Minimum Qualifications + Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (from an accredited program). + California SLP License (SLPA supervision experience a plus). + California PPS Credential in Speech-Language Pathology or eligibility (or Emergency/Provisional permit if applicable by district). + ASHA CCC-SLP (or strong CFs considered with appropriate supervision). + Bilingual fluency (Spanish preferred; other languages considered based on student needs). + Current TB clearance and Livescan/fingerprint clearance (or ability to obtain). + Proficiency with California IEP software (e.g., SEIS, SIRAS, Welligent) and secure digital documentation. Preferred Experience + Prior school-based SLP experience across K–12. + Knowledge of MTSS/RTI, cultural-linguistic diversity, and difference vs. disorder frameworks. + Experience with AAC, social communication interventions, and literacy-based language interventions. + Strong skills in collaborative problem-solving and family engagement. Caseload & Sites + Typical school caseload (K–12 mix), finalized with the district. + Potential for travel between nearby school sites within the district/SELPA.
