Speech Language Pathologist
Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – School Setting (K–12) Anaheim, California Start: ASAP Full-Time 35 Hours per Week Follows School Calendar Amergis (formerly Amergis Healthcare Staffing) is seeking a Master’s-level, ASHA-certified Speech Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) to support students in a K–12 school setting. The ideal candidate is committed to helping students with communication needs succeed across academic and social environments. Local SLPs earn $75 per hour, and travel packages are also available. Position Overview This role includes assessing, diagnosing, and treating articulation, fluency, and language disorders for students across all grade levels. The SLP will collaborate closely with school teams and participate in IEP development and implementation. ResponsibilitiesAssessment and Evaluation + Provide specialized services and assist with screening and assessing students with speech and language deficiencies. + Use age-appropriate standardized and non-standardized assessment tools. + Conduct full-scale speech and language evaluations and prepare concise, valid diagnostic reports for initial evaluations and periodic IEPs. + Therapy and Instruction + Provide individual and small-group therapy sessions. + Schedule and manage caseload, plan lessons, and track student progress. + Provide phonological and language training using developmentally appropriate techniques. + IEP Development and Collaboration + Participate in IEP meetings to present assessment findings and make recommendations for services, goals, and accommodations. + Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to support student communication needs. + Assist in developing and implementing IEPs for students receiving DIS services. Professional Participation + Attend in-service training sessions, departmental meetings, consultations, and parent conferences. + Collaborate with professional speech and language therapists as needed. Operate diagnostic and office equipment, including speech and language software, video cameras, tape recorders, and electronic communication devices. + Prepare, type, and maintain required records such as IEP forms, assessment documents, therapy notes, attendance logs, and annual reviews. + Perform related duties as assigned.
