This school-based SLP position offers:
+ A supportive and established speech team with strong collaboration
+ Orientation provided—tailored for experienced SLPs or new graduates
+ Lead Team support
+ Clinical Fellows (CFs) are encouraged to apply!
+ Passion for working with kiddos who have special speech therapy needs.
+ Client is ready to interview and hire since we need these students’ services immediately!
+ Educational & Credential Requirements
+ Active State of California Speech-Language Pathologist License
+ Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
+ Valid Certificate of Clearance (CL-900)
+ Recent pediatrics and/or school-based work experience are required.
+ Solid understanding of students with a range of communication needs
+ Proficiency with California’s IEP platform: SEIS (Special Education Information System)
Duties
+ Treat students in Grades K-12 with a range of communication, language and articulation needs.
+ Provide direct and in-direct therapy, small-group sessions, carryover programs, progress monitoring.
+ Perform direct, indirect, and consultative support.
+ Phonological processes (fronting, cluster reduction, stopping)
+ Language Disorders (Receptive, Expressive, Mixed)
+ Difficulty understanding classroom language
+ Grammar, vocabulary, and sentence structure challenges
+ Pragmatic / Social Communication
+ Students with autism spectrum diagnoses – Help them to find their voices!
+ Difficulty with conversation, perspective-taking, and social rules
+ Fluency Disorders (Stuttering / Cluttering)
+ AAC Users (Augmentative & Alternative Communication)
+ Students with complex communication needs (high-tech or low-tech system
+ Motor Speech Disorders
+ Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS)
+ Dysarthria related to neurological or developmental conditions
+ Hearing Impairments / Deaf or Hard of Hearing
+ Students using listening and spoken language
+ Students with Cognitive or Developmental Disabilities
+ Individual intervention
+ Communicate with staff, parents and guardians regarding IEP support and documentation (SEIS)
