UPMC Somerset is seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our rehabilitation team. This full-time role supports both acute care and outpatient populations, offering a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact across a diverse range of patient needs. Responsibilities:
+ Provide diagnostic and evaluative services for patients referred for speech-language pathology.
+ Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address communication and swallowing disorders.
+ Maintain accurate and timely documentation including progress notes, evaluations, and treatment records.
+ Coordinate scheduling and treatment programs for referred clients.
+ Prepare diagnostic reports with recommendations tailored to each patient’s needs.
+ Ensure compliance with regulatory and accrediting agencies (e.g., OSHA, TJC, CMS) and maintain all required
+ credentials (e.g., licensure, CPR, CEUs).
+ Participate in staff meetings, departmental committees, and in-service education programs.
+ Present educational programs and participate in community outreach as requested.
+ Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism in all patient interactions.
+ Support organizational policies, including HIPAA and the Corporate Compliance Program.
+ Provide excellent customer service with a positive, caring attitude toward patients, families, and colleagues.

+ MS, MEd or MA in Speech-Language Pathology.
+ Experience in both acute care and outpatient settings preferred.
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
**Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:**
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
+ CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
+ Speech Pathologist
+ Speech Pathologists license required for state in which employee provides services.
+ Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
+ CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competency) or meet the educational requirements for certification and be in the process of completing his or her Clinical Fellowship year.
+ Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
+ Act 33 with renewal
+ Act 34 with renewal
+ Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
