The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in the school setting is responsible for conducting student evaluations and providing speech-language therapy services in accordance with each student’s individualized plan of care and physician orders. This role includes documentation, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and direct support to students in elementary educational settings.

Classroom & Caseload Details
+ Grade Levels: Elementary
+ Caseload Model: ASHA workload model
+ Service Model: School-based SLP services
+ Support: Multidisciplinary team support
+ Group or Individual Services: As determined by student needs
Responsibilities
+ Conduct speech and language evaluations
+ Provide direct speech-language therapy services
+ Document treatment and progress in compliance with plans of care
+ Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and evaluations
+ Collaborate with school staff and related service providers
+ Deliver services aligned with state and federal guidelines
Requirements
+ Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in the state of assignment
+ Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred and may be required
+ Clinical Fellowship (CF) candidates accepted (full-time only)
+ Public school or pediatric experience required
+ Compliance with all professional standards of practice
+ Current CPR certification (if applicable)
+ TB Questionnaire, PPD, or Chest X-ray (if applicable)
+ Current health certificate per contract or state regulation
+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
