Special Education Teacher (LBS1 – Case Manager)

Schedule: 35 hours/week
Pay Rate: $50–$55/hr
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and collaborative Special Education Teacher to serve as a case manager for students across Early Childhood, Elementary, and Junior High grade levels. This role focuses on consultation and advocacy rather than classroom instruction, offering an opportunity to make a meaningful impact through individualized support and collaboration with general education staff.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
+ Set and track student goals
+ Consult and collaborate with general education teachers
+ Advocate for students on caseload
+ Provide tutorial assistance and special instruction as needed
+ Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)
+ Valid state teaching certificate (required)
+ Standard Elementary, Secondary, or Special Teaching Certification preferred
+ LBS1 Endorsement preferred
+ Minimum of one year teaching experience (preferred)
+ Compliance with all professional standards of practice
+ Current CPR certification (if applicable)
+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray (if applicable)
+ Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
Modality:
This is a consulting and collaborative role, not classroom-based. The teacher will work closely with staff and students to ensure IEP goals are met and students receive the support they need.
