Job Title: Specimen Processor

Location: Framingham, MA

Employment Type: Entry-Level | Part-Time (20 hours/week)

Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Specimen Processor to join our laboratory team. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving, preparing, and processing patient samples with precision and care. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to start or grow their career in the clinical laboratory field.

Key Responsibilities:

Receive and unpack sample shipments; organize and maintain a clean workspaceAccurately enter patient demographic and test information into the Laboratory Information System (LIS)Label samples and run automated aliquoting equipmentPerform pipetting and sample preparation for testingOperate automated lab equipment and incubatorsEnsure proper documentation and flag discrepancies in samples or requisition formsFollow daily decontamination protocols and safety guidelinesCollaborate with the Customer Care team to resolve sample-related issuesRestock and organize lab supplies to maintain workflow efficiency

Required Skills:

Specimen processing and sample preparationAccurate labeling and documentationFamiliarity with LIS systemsPipetting and accessioning techniquesStrong attention to detail and ability to follow written instructionsTyping speed of 45 WPM with high accuracyAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentInitiative to prioritize patient care and troubleshoot novel situations

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalentComputer literacy and strong communication skillsCommitment to safety and quality standards

Experience Level: Entry-Level

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
