Specimen Control & Receiving Technician

Work Schedule: 

40% FTE, Shifts may include early‑morning coverage starting as early as 04:00 and running through 12:30, as well as evening shifts from 15:00–22:00. Weekend availability may be required depending on staffing needs. An average of 8–16 hours per week, with hours varying week to week. You will work at UW Health Swedish American Hospital 1401 E. State. Street.

Additional components of compensation may include:

Evening, night, and weekend shift differential

Overtime

QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent. RequiredSome post-secondary education in a healthcare or a related science field that may include course work in Medical Laboratory Technician, Cytotechnologist, Histotechnician or Medical Laboratory Scientist degree/certification. PreferredWork Experience6 months healthcare or laboratory related work experience. Required1 year healthcare or laboratory related work experience. PreferredLicenses & CertificationsPBT(ASCP) Certification.
