**Specification Engineer – Emergency Lighting**
**Job Profile**
The Specification Engineer is responsible, within the assigned region, for the effective development and maintenance of a network of **Czech- and Slovak‑speaking customers** who act as specifying entities for Commercial and Institutional Building projects. **The assigned region covers the entire Czech Republic and Slovakia.**
These customers typically include engineering offices, consultants, panel builders, end users with serialized business or large projects, and others.
The primary focus is to ensure early awareness of projects and active involvement in the planning process to tailor specifications to Eaton. Another important part of the role is tracking and identifying projects not initially specified by Eaton. For these projects, the Specification Engineer ensures proper communication and captures them in internal systems, making sure that Sales Engineers, the back office, and Sales Managers are informed and can follow up.
As a Specification Engineer, you will manage specification and prescription activities for emergency lighting with consultants, end users, and other key customers.
**Key responsibilities include:**
+ Visiting consultants/specifiers and contractors, providing effective solutions based on drawings and commercial offers, and following up on projects
+ Ensuring Eaton delivers optimal technical solutions that meet consultant needs and end‑user budget expectations
+ Providing technical knowledge to sales representatives and customers nationwide, supporting the growth of project sales
+ Supporting sales representatives in the field to close deals and secure system orders
+ Focusing primarily on central battery systems and other emergency lighting systems
+ Technically reviewing all major projects before ordering
+ Contributing to overall team results, working closely with and reporting to the Sales Leader
**Job Requirements**
We would appreciate the following qualifications and skills:
+ Education in electrical engineering or another relevant technical field
+ Experience with Commercial & Institutional (C&I) building projects
+ Experience in technical specification, price calculation, and preparing project documentation
+ Familiarity with design and construction practices
+ Ability to understand technical details and incorporate them into specifications
+ Knowledge of electrical design software is an advantage (AutoCAD, Dialux)
+ Knowledge of technical norms (emergency lighting – ČSN EN 1838, 50172, 50171) is welcome
+ Czech/Slovak native‑level proficiency and good knowledge of English
