Primary Duties: • Assembles and installs manufactured parts using hand and power tools. Reads, interprets, and follows drawings, BOM’s and other specifications to determine assembly requirements. • Follows pneumatic and electrical layout drawings and schematics. • Maintains safe work practices by using all required safety equipment and procedures. • Maintains work area in a neat and orderly manner to facilitate efficient processes and good safety practice. • Assists in improving assembly of machines by defining procedures, jigs, etc. • Carries out other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Experience: • Education: Secondary diploma, post-secondary studies in related field an asset • Experience: Background in assembly and/or related experience • Knowledge and understanding of pneumatic and electrical systems • Manufacturing experience, an asset • Welding/fabricating experience, an asset • Mechanical aptitude • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Ability to interact with a variety of individuals from different backgrounds and cultures • Excellent organizational, time management skills and an ability to multi-task • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision • Ability to exhibit a professional attitude and image with a commitment to quality service • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a calm focus during hectic periods • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
