Role Purpose/Business Unit:
Specialist function focusing on Unified communications, audio visual and video conferencing.
Your responsibilities will include:
Technical Operations
Manage AVVC infrastructure in meeting rooms, boardrooms, and collaboration spaces, across Vodacom estateMonitor system performance and proactively resolve issues to ensure high availability and quality.Troubleshoot hardware and software issues across various platforms and devices.Generate monthly performance reports supported by data-driven insights
Support & Troubleshooting
Provide Tier 2/3 support for AVVC-related incidents and service requests.Collaborate with service desk and infrastructure teams to resolve escalated issues.Liaise with end-users to manage requests, expectations and customer experience.
Project Delivery
Lead / participate in AVVC-related projects including upgrades, new deployments, testing and integrations.Vendor management and coordination for AV installations and maintenance.Document system configurations, procedures, and user guides.
Governance & Compliance
Ensure AVVC systems comply with corporate security and data protection policies.Maintain asset inventory and lifecycle management of AVVC equipment.Operational Excellence: Implement PPPs to ensure compliance with IT best practises and Compliance with standards -ITIL, ISO 27002The ideal candidate for this role will have:3 year Diploma or Degree in IT, Telecommunications, or related field3-5 years experience in AV and video conferencing technologiesCertification in MCSE/MCITP, Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom, or Cisco advantageousExperience with AV control systems (e.g. Crestron, Extron), digital signage, and room scheduling solutions.2 years Leadership experience (Essential3-5 years experience in AV and video conferencing technologiesCertifications in MCSE/MCITP, Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom, or Cisco (advantageous)Experience with AV control systems (e.g. Crestron, Extron), digital signage, and room scheduling solutions. (advantageous) Core competencies, knowledge, and experience:
