BASF has been active in Vietnam since the establishment of its representative office in 1994and celebrates its 30-year presence in the country this year. BASF Vietnam Limited was set up in 2009. The company maintains two sales offices in Hồ Chí Minh City and Hà Nội, offering solutions for Vietnam’s key industries, including Agriculture, Construction, Automotive, Footwear, Paints & Coatings and Electrical & Electronics. BASF’s sales to customers in Vietnam were approximately €238 million in 2023. BASF employed 110 people in Vietnam as of the end of the year.

**OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION**
•Deliver high-quality technical service and support to customers by facilitating troubleshooting and process optimization both in the lab and on-site
•Ensure operational efficiency, support approval and development activities, and contribute to business growth through technical expertise and resource management—without altering product formulations.
**MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACTIVITIES**
**Customer-Centric Technical Support**
•Provide hands-on troubleshooting support at customer sites and in the application lab.
•Simulate customer line conditions to resolve issues using existing product solutions.
•Interpret customer data (e.g., bath parameters) and provide actionable insights.
•Support line startups and offer product recommendations for new installations
**Process Optimization and Approval Support**
•Conduct compatibility testing of products and process steps (e.g., oils, adhesives).
•Adapt processes to meet local customer requirements without modifying products or recipes.
•Assist in plant layout planning for global key accounts.
•Support approval activities and ensure alignment with customer expectations.
**Knowledge Sharing**
•Share best practices and lessons learned across the region
•Collaborate with sales and regional TFS to align on customer needs.
**Compliance & Safety**
•Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards in all technical operations
**JOB REQUIREMENTS**
•Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry (Master degree is a plus).
•At least 4 years in customer-facing roles within pre-treatment and paint process environments.
•Strong foundation knowledge in chemical processes, laboratory and customer line equipment operation, and process and troubleshooting.
•Demonstrating entrepreneurial mindset.
•Willingness to develop and learn
•Self-motivated strong individual contributor and team player.
•Willingness to travel >70% of time.
