Specialist - Scientific & Regulatory Affairs

Job Description:

The Specialist SRA leverages technical expertise for the execution of global raw material compliance, regulatory data management and digital transformation to unlock value and efficiency. This position partners externally with Mars’ suppliers and internally with Product Development, Commercial, Legal, SQA, Activity Management and Digital teams to provide regulatory support to enable innovation.  The Specialist supports SRA’s mission and vision to transform our compliance operating model, consisting of harmonized processes, global data governance and automation, to modernize how we ensure compliance and enable growth.

What are we looking for?

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in nutrition, biochemistry, food science, food safety, food process engineering or equivalent

3-5 years experience in regulatory compliance at a food, beverage, or consumer products company with significant expertise in ingredient compliance, finished product compliance, claims, labelling

Systems and data management experience- data analytics software, product lifecycle management tools and specification management systems

Expertise with confectionery, snack, chewing gum products, relative ingredients and manufacturing processes

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in relevant science area (above) and additional training course work in regulatory science is strongly preferred

International regulatory experience

What will be your key responsibilities?

Global Compliance Management: Executes the global raw material review and data management process for Mars Wrigley, ensuring compliance with regulatory information related to nutrition, ingredient composition, claims suitability and allergen labeling.

Data Analytics and Improvement: Architects data sets for analytics and maintains key ingredient screening metrics for continuous improvement.

Regulatory Data Oversight: Provides final sign-off for low to medium risk regulatory data and executes change management programs for ingredients and formulations based on external insights.

Training and Governance: Contributes to the onboarding program for new team members and maintains SOPs for the global data governance model.

Strategic Partnership and Automation: Acts as a strategic partner for regional associates, identifying opportunities for regulatory compliance automation to enhance organizational efficiency.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.

The pay range shown is applicable to all locations listed within the job posting:USD 85,875.00 - USD 118,083.00
