Position Overview:
Set up and operate all equipment. To maintain all operations in a safe and efficient way and to ensure quality is acceptable and production requirements are met.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
Drives maintenance, quality and production in the setup, profiling and start-up of both new and existing toolingTroubleshoots existing profile-related problemsAssists in developing Two Step blow molding operators’ profiling skills and problem solving techniquesEnsures all new tooling has documented master profiles and existing master profiles are kept up to dateManages and updates master profile sheetsCompletes change-overs using mechanical setup sheets; provides feedback and guidance on proper machine setup to ensure master profile operating parameters will work; document setup sheets of new tooling; profile and document master profiles as required on new tooling; update mechanical setup sheets as neededAssists the changeover team in mechanical set up of the blow molderAssists production in profiling existing tooling from master profile sheetsAssists production and quality in solving recurring defects caused by improper profilesDevelops and maintains progressive training in Two Step theory and application; identifies, plans, and conducts or coordinates technical training for plant employees (GMP, SOPs, WIs, FCDs, machine operations, processing, lockout/tagout, or forklift/man lift operations)Develops work instructions and levels program for Two Step operationsPerforms all other tasks as directedAbility to trouble shoot and diagnose mechanical components that impact the processing of a heatset containerQualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or GED5+ years’ experience in PET manufacturingStrong machine/mechanical knowledgeKnowledge of operation and mechanical downstream equipment preferredAbility to work flexible hours and different shifts; including call-ins and weekends as needed to support production changeovers and startupsWorking knowledge of PET carbonated and non-carbonated containersPrevious operating and profiling experience with Husky machinesWorking knowledge of practical experience with quality product specifications and controls methodsAbility to work independently, solve problems, make decisions and resolve conflictsTravel 10%Relationships:
