Responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, while supporting the development of a strong safety culture across the organization. Acts as a technical reference for HSE matters, guiding teams and improving operational standards.
As a Senior HSE Technician, you will be responsible for:
Identifying and acting on legal requirements related to Occupational Safety and Environmental Management applicable to the company’s activities.Standardizing safety procedures and administrative HSE controls through documentation, as well as standardizing task risk‑analysis controls in operational areas.Monitoring Occupational Safety and Environmental indicators such as accidents, incidents, inspections, training, meetings, PPE usage, and other relevant metrics.Conducting workplace inspections, identifying hazardous conditions, raising, investigating, and analyzing accidents, and reporting Safety‑related matters to leadership through daily reports.Acting as a consultant on Emergency‑related matters in accordance with legal and normative requirements of NR‑23 and COSCIP.Organizing legal documentation related to the HSE area.Collaborating in training new Safety and Environmental Technicians, as well as preparing and delivering safety training to all employees, including awareness programs and dissemination of safety standards to promote preventive behavior.Issuing Work Permits.Advising the company on legal occupational hygiene programs (PPRA), identifying risks and specifying the appropriate PPE for workers.Providing consultative support to HSE process and program management and to the use of internal tools such as Framework, Gensuite, and others, acting as element leader and/or substituting when necessary.Developing and performing internal Risk Analyses, and reviewing Risk Analyses of third‑party activities.Developing and executing medium‑ and high‑complexity HSE projects.Coordinating and following up on operational HSE activities whenever necessary.Ensuring that the company’s Health, Safety, and Environmental values are practiced by employees, suppliers, and contractors through the identification, monitoring, and control of significant environmental impacts and occupational risks, based on attitude, leadership, training, and commitment.Working in accordance with company policies and procedures related to quality and operations, reporting any nonconformity, concern, or risk to the product/process/service, and being committed to achieving quality objectives and pursuing continuous improvement.Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
Holding a High School Diploma and a Technical Degree in Occupational SafetyConsidering a degree in Engineering desirable.Bringing at least 5 years of experience demonstrating solid technical expertise in HSE activitiesUsing Microsoft OfficeHaving an advanced EnglishRequiring the accreditation as an Occupational Safety Technician with the Ministry of Labor (MTE)Working with us
