For the role of Senior OPEN RAN Engineer we are looking for candidates with a broad range of skills. 

The responsibilities include:

Deliver Vodafone’s RAN software roadmap from concept to deployment.Lead integration of satellite-based mobile services to expand coverage.Drive alignment of RAN software with O-RAN architecture for openness and flexibility.Manage technical relationships with RAN vendors, including performance, roadmap, and RFQ support.Lead software innovation to enhance customer experience and reduce TCO.

 

What you bring 5+ years in mobile operator and radio supplier roles with deep RAN expertise (L1–L3).2+ years in Open RAN standards, roadmap planning, and trial execution.Proven experience integrating satellite and terrestrial networks for mobile services.Strong software development skills in Python, focused on telecom automation and optimization.Track record of leading complex international programs with strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.Master’s degree in telecommunication engineering or computer science.Strong knowledge of RAN technologies, including architecture and protocols.Proficiency in English (written and spoken).Solid understanding of NFV and its application in telecom networks.Broad international experience in suppliers and MNOs.Benefits
