Two years of relevant specialist experience or experience in a related field. Certifications may be required. Experience in Higher Education and specialized work is desirable. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered. Nature & Purpose of Position Performs highly advanced specialist duties for the Office of the Registrar. Primary Responsibilities Provides advanced phone, email, and/or in-person support for registration and support for specific duties related to student registration. Responds to advanced registration and resource questions with full knowledge and understanding of the student registration system. Aids students in adding, dropping, resigning, and any steps associated with these processes. Assists with system upgrade testing, resolution process troubleshooting, and implementing changes as guided by leadership. Sends and coordinates strategic communications to students, faculty, and campus partners using the approved mass communication platforms. Collaborates with campus departments. Administrative duties associated with the position include but are not limited to, regular upkeep and assessment of data, leading project timelines and resolving issues with processes, and other support. Coordinates, compiles, and evaluates data to ensure the efficiency of processes and services provided. Assists in creating internal policies, procedures, and workflows to ensure effective and efficient operation. Assists in developing training materials and sessions for students and staff. Supports leadership with start-of-term and end-of-term processing. Attends and participates in all required training workshops provided by the department, division, and university. Prepares, reviews, revises, and distributes official university documents and reports. Conducts research for preparation and dissemination of information. May be responsible for planning, directing, supervising, and participating in special projects. May be responsible for scheduling and facilitating meetings. Performs other related duties as assigned.
