What you’ll doTo support Vodafone’s key strategic growth areas in IoT, Group Enterprise Technology requires a highly capable and experienced Analytics Data Engineer. This role will be responsible for establishing an end to end deliveries in agile culture within the IoT Reporting, Analytics and BigData team You will develop, manage, execute & take full accountability for bringing Data Solutions for all the IoT systems enabling all required capabilities to all of the IoT project deliveries. You will work very closely with technical delivery leads, solution architects, integration engineers, external system integrators and software developers and ensure the IoT deliveries happen in time, on budget & effectively follows the agile best practices & principles.
This is a very central & exciting role to address the ever growing demands of the new Analytics Platform among other IoT systems as we are moving to the cloud. . You will help architect and deploy the tools required to enable ingestion and storage capabilities in the cloud in close cooperation with the Test, Applications & Enablement teams and will become a key part of major ongoing and upcoming projects for delivery. Your objective is to ensure that every IoT project gets delivered effectively in agile and as promised.
Take ownership and accountability of Analytics DataPipeline developments and deployments and architecture solutions for (IoT) projects.Help facilitate discussions and conflict resolution, alternatives or different approaches & ensure no impact on the delivery of projects.Manage stakeholders and vendor interfaces as required for technical delivery and report on project progress & activities.BSc or MSc level degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or Telecommunications.Ability to understand architecture, network design & technical issues to drive effective agile delivery.Creative and efficient in proposing solutions to complex, time-critical problems.Proven hands-on experience in developing and deploying Analytics solutionsWho you are Knowledge on Analytics solutions and data engineeringKnowledge on Redshift Data Modelling and SQLKnowledge on Data ETL (Spark)Deep Knowledge of DevOps tools and CI/CDExperience with AWS Service or Goggle Cloud ServiceExperience of scripting and coding languages (e.g.Java, Python, Ruby, Bash).Ability to maintain calm attitude during difficult situations and handle pressure situations.Agile Metholopgy embrancementStrong team player with an ability to identify and remove impediments or conflicts that interfere with the ability of the team to deliver the sprint & project goals.Self-starter & self-motivated with a drive to identify opportunities for improvement across the agile delivery processes.Highly independent, takes ownership, does not need to be told what to do and seeks feedback and execute actions.English (B2 or above)Not a perfect fit?
