Position Description

 

The Kibali Gold Mine Team is seeking to recruit two (2) Specialists - Inventory  to join and grow our team.

Responsibilities:

Maintain and update inventory records and the system to ensure accurate and timely tracking;

Work with cross-functional teams to forecast inventory needs and identify potential inventory issues;

Manage aging inventory and coordinate the rotation or proper disposal of obsolete inventory;

Review and analyze inventory data to identify trends and potential areas for improvement;

Perform regular cycle counts and inventory audits to identify discrepancies;

Investigate and resolve inventory-related issues such as discrepancies or damage;

Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical counts and system records;

Monitor inventory levels to avoid stock-outs;

Analyze inventory data to identify trends, slow items, and optimization opportunities;

Ensure that all VMI reconciliations are completed on time;

Work in compliance with ISO 14001 and 45001 Standards

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Management or equivalent field. 

Experience and Skills Requirements: 

Have a proven track record of at least 5 years in inventory management, supply chain operations or a similar role, preferably in the mining, manufacturing or heavy industry sectors.

Have a detailed understanding of MRP management, inventory control and management systems, and ERP.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Possess excellent oral and written communication skills for a demanding, client-centric work environment

Possess excellent personal organization and business management skills in accordance with modern methods of good practice.

Possess the ability to work productively, efficiently and effectively with initiative, and to motivate under tight deadlines and pressure, while remaining attentive. Details and quality.
