Specialist, Portfolio ManagerThe Role

As a Specialist, Portfolio Manager at Pearson, you will own and shape a portfolio of higher education courseware products—spanning digital platforms, eTexts, and print solutions—to drive sustainable growth and strong learner outcomes. You will act as the voice of the customer and market, translating insights into disciplined, data-driven portfolio and investment decisions. This role offers a unique balance of external market engagement and hands-on portfolio execution, allowing you to influence strategy while delivering measurable commercial impact.

What You'll Own

• Own the commercial performance of a defined portfolio, balancing profitability, market share, and return on investment.

• Lead long-term portfolio strategy and lifecycle management, including launches, pilots, and sunsetting decisions.

• Translate customer, market, and competitive insights into clear investment priorities and roadmaps.

• Partner cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Content teams to execute portfolio plans.

• Monitor performance metrics and adjust strategy to respond to market, competitive, and technology shifts.

• You are highly analytical and comfortable using data to inform investment and prioritization decisions.

Compensation at Pearson is influenced by factors including skill set, experience, and location. 

 
The full-time salary range for this role is $90,000 - $100,000. 
This position is eligible for Pearson’s annual incentive program. Information on benefits can be found here.
