The Specialist, Physical Security, plays a critical role in developing and implementing security protocols, training, and emergency response strategies to safeguard associates, assets, and facilities. This position ensures compliance with corporate policies and regulatory standards while providing tactical responses to incidents such as workplace violence, fire, and active shooter situations. The role involves managing security systems, conducting investigations, and collaborating with internal and external partners to maintain a safe environment. The Specialist contributes to continuous improvement efforts and supports a culture of integrity, accountability, and operational excellence.
About the team:
The Physical Security team collaborates closely with Pharmacists, store leadership, and law enforcement to maintain a secure environment. They conduct investigations, train staff on safety protocols, and implement security strategies to ensure smooth pharmacy operations and regulatory compliance. By fostering vigilance and accountability, the team protects patient trust and Walmart’s reputation as a reliable service provider. Their shared commitment to safety supports effective emergency response and risk mitigation, ensuring security is a collective responsibility that upholds the highest standards across all locations. Schedule: Must be available Sunday from 7:30pm-4:00am; Monday thru Thursday from 8:30pm-5:00am
What you'll do: Support development and implementation of security protocols, programs, and training to enhance safety and compliance with corporate standards.Respond to emergency situations by initiating incident command and providing responses to incidents such as workplace violence, fire, severe weather, and active shooter events.Implement and monitor security systems including alarm, intrusion detection, and threat management to ensure effective risk mitigation.Investigate security breaches, policy violations, and reported threats while assisting with mitigation efforts.Assess visitor threat levels and escort critical information and merchandise securely.Ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate policies, addressing violations and implementing corrective actions.
What you'll bring: Proven experience in physical security operations, emergency response, and incident management within complex environments.Strong knowledge of security systems, threat management, and risk mitigation strategies to ensure safety and compliance.Ability to implement and improve security protocols, standard operating procedures, and training programs aligned with corporate policies.Skilled in crisis management, including tactical response to life safety events such as active shooter and severe weather incidents.Experience collaborating with internal teams and external agencies to maintain regulatory compliance and promote a secure workplace.Excellent communication and customer service skills to effectively engage with stakeholders.

The hourly wage range for this position is $21.00 - $40.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
