09Duties & accountabilities
Maintain and update static reference data for listed and unlisted securities across asset classes and markets.Validate corporate action announcements by researching and confirming event details using prospectuses, circulars, exchange notices, vendor feeds, and issuer communications.Analyse, resolve, and enrich data exceptions arising from vendor feeds or internal validation processes.Monitor and action daily exception queues; ensure timely resolution in line with service level agreements (SLAs).Understand and manage the impact of reference data on corporate action workflows and downstream systems.Perform data integrity checks across multiple data sources; identify anomalies and escalate material inconsistencies.Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Product, Technology, Client Support) and external entities (vendors, custodians, exchanges) to ensure data accuracy and completeness.Provide timely and high-quality support for complex and routine reference data or corporate action inquiries from internal and external clients.Contribute to process documentation reviews (SOPs), issue logs, and project trackers; ensure regular updates.Participate in system upgrades, enhancements, and UAT for reference data and corporate actions platforms.Support onboarding and training of new team members; serve as SME for specific asset types or markets.Assist managers in process design, quality control initiatives, and strategic projects focused on automation, scalability, and data governance.Uphold data governance standards and execute tasks in compliance with internal control policies.Act as a change agent by proposing and implementing improvements in processes and tools.Education and experience
Graduate degree/ Postgraduate or equivalent, preferably in Finance, Economics or Business0-6 years of relevant work experience in in financial securities reference data management and corporate actionKnowledge of equities and fixed income requiredGood exposure to reference data vendors like Bloomberg, SIX Telekurs, CGS, EDI, IDC, LSE, EuroclearStrong research and data mining skills requiredKnowledge of ISO/Swift feeds requiredKnowledge of Excel and SQL requiredExposure to scripting (Python) or visualization tools (Power BI) preferredCommercial awareness
In-depth knowledge of securities industry, equities and fixed income reference data and corporate actionsKnowledge of financial markets and awareness of current global financial newsManagement requirements
