Why this role is important?

Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Business Operations Development, the Specialist will work collaboratively with cross functional teams in the design and implementation phases of new business platforms, systems, and programs to ensure that they are effectively operationalized. This colleague will support and be a subject matter expert in data maintenance in the system and improving/implementing operational policies, procedures, and pharmacy workflow. The Specialist will also support the enterprise support teams in addressing escalations and validating all requests pertaining to system changes and updates.

Key Accountabilities

Providing second level support to the MediSystem pharmacy locations with respect to operational systems usedWorking with the enterprise support teams in providing ongoing knowledge around updates to MediSystem procedures/workflow/application and how it relates to the support they are providing the sites. Also being the business member owning the user acceptance testing around proposed system enhancements/changesReviewing and summarizing feature release notes as it pertains to KrollPrepare important pharmacy communication in a clear, concise, timely fashion that focuses on changes or enhancements made to the systems, aligning to the standard operating procedures/processesBusiness SME for projects that influence LTC pharmacy systems and current/future operational workflowAccountable for producing sound and sustainable end-to-end Functional designsParticipate in key roles in multiple system projects towards ensuring that the functional design and delivery solutions meet business requirementsReview, action and timely resolve testing defects across FUT, SIT and UAT environments related to Performance and Systems Testing.Provides implementation support during warranty periods through systems projects.Provides Kroll feature demos to the BusinessKnowledge in the configuration and design of LTC pharmacy systems.Responsible for creating robust functional design documentation.Working cross functionally with the enterprise team to develop, test and deploy Kroll Workflow, Pricing Co-pay, Configuration changes within the confines of the current applicationSupports ongoing activities for pharmacy systems, including estimations, configuration changes, testing new releases and exploring new functionality.Vetting system enhancement requests and adapting current functionality within applications (such as Kroll) to satisfy the needs and objectives of the businessEnsure deliverables are executed with high quality, on time, within budget and are aligned with overall standards and processes

Qualifications

University or College degree in technical field (Computer Science, Engineering, Business, etc.)3-5 years of Pharmacy Operations Support experience, preferred3-5 years work-related experience required; Long Term Care pharmacy experience considered an assetExperience in related pharmacy operational systems (i.e. Kroll, Point Click Care, PacMed, PacVision)Advanced knowledge in IT and how it relates to the configuration and functionality within the Kroll applicationExperienced in performing user acceptance testing of new applications, upgrades to those applications and creating the applicable test cases needed to test the application fully based on the business processesAdvanced knowledge in Microsoft suite of business applicationsAbility to productively work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to prioritize tasks and respond in a timely mannerExperience in managing support with respect to the pharmacy systems and identifying gaps that need to be addressedExperience in facilitating working sessions with applicable colleagues to transfer knowledge and or work through changes to business processesAbility to work both independently and in a team dynamic both in office and remotelyAbility to learn new concepts, technologies, and methodologies in a fast-paced industry
