Overview:

Netflix is seeking a Specialist to support our Talent Relations & Awards Team. This role will be based out of the LA office focusing on Film campaigns.
 

The Role:

As the Specialist, Awards & Talent Relations, you will support the Film Awards team and work closely with the Awards & Talent Relations Sr. Manager to support our film campaigns with screenings, programming and submissions. The individual in this role provides consultation and support to the strategy team including managing logistics for all UCAN film submissions liaising with multiple cross-functional partners and agencies to ensure logistical support and implementation. They will also support the team on campaign activities, programming and booking screenings and handling all related logistics. 

With the high volume of films the team works across we are seeking a candidate that is self-motivated, quick-thinking, flexible, able to pivot when necessary, thorough and able to juggle multiple responsibilities with a strong emphasis on the organization and an unwavering attention to detail at all times. This is a demanding and fast moving position that requires someone who is a proactive and positive thinker, and able to exercise good judgment while dealing with a high volume of tasks.  

What you will do:

Working with the Film Awards Senior Manager to manage the submission of Netflix’s Narrative, Documentary, Animation and International film titles across all UCAN competitions.

Foster clear and concise communication among all relevant internal parties including but not limited to Internal Awards, Publicity, Content, Credits, Screenings & Post Teams as well as Filmmakers.

Exercise excellent communication and alignment with Netflix’s Awards Submissions Agency to ensure all necessary materials are collected and submission deadlines are met.

Handle all logistics for awards screenings including but not limited to booking theaters, DCP management, screening assets, venue needs, posters, staffing. Digital screening/screening link/upload support will also be an important part of this role.

Talent handling at awards screenings, Q&As and events.

Be the main point of contact with Guilds/Awards organizations when it comes to questions about rules, regulations & eligibility. 

Gather, track and organize all materials required for various submissions.

Keep relevant documents and trackers organized and up to date and manage the overall budget as it relates to Film Awards submissions.

What we need from you:

At least 3-4 Years professional experience, ideally within the Entertainment Awards or Publicity industry. 

Passion and curiosity for the evolving entertainment landscape with a strong working knowledge of the awards space. 

Understanding of how to prioritize and respond accordingly to meet deadlines while displaying good judgment.

Ability to stay highly-aligned with multiple cross-functional teams 

Ability to be discreet and maintain confidential information.

A proactive and positive approach that embodies our company values every day.

Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to multitask a high volume of tasks with various deadlines.

Excellent organizational and asset management skills, attention to detail, focus and follow-through. 

Demonstrated ability to accommodate a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.

Proficiency in the Google Suite of apps (Calendar, GMail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Forms), Airtable, as well as being overall tech savvy to adapt to new tools/systems.

Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $60,000-$234,000.
