Schwab Asset Management (SAM) is the asset management arm of the Charles Schwab Corporation. SAM delivers a wide variety of products including mutual funds, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), money market funds, collective investment trusts (CITs), and Separately Managed Accounts (SMAs). The overall SAM team embodies our firm’s commitment to providing client-centric solutions that help Schwab clients achieve their financial goals.
The SMA Billing team plays a critical role in helping our clients achieve their financial goals by performing accurate and timely fee calculations and generating invoices. We are seeking a Specialist, Accounting to join our team to assist with the monthly and termination billing fee calculations, quarterly preparation of invoices, fee requests, and overall SMA billing for Direct and Marketplace accounts for the ThomasPartners, Wasmer Schroeder, Windhaven and Personalized Index strategies. The Specialist, Accounting will be an integral part of the broader team by taking ownership of responsibilities and collaborating with our business partners.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Maintaining client accounts in the accounting softwareBilling fee calculations and accrualsOff-cycle billing fee calculations and invoice preparation for terminating accountsQuarterly invoice generationQuarterly and termination fee requests from multiple custodians/accountsOutstanding fee maintenance and reconciliation of payments receivedAssist in providing estimated monthly revenue for our corporate business partnersCollaborate on various projects that could impact SMA BillingWhat you haveRequired Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required.Preferred Qualifications
3+ years’ experience within Financial Services industry and SMA experience Strong excel skills with macro and other data aggregation skills Excellent analytical and communication skillsStrong organizational skills with the ability to balance competing priorities to meet strict deadlinesDemonstrated problem solving skillsStrong attention to detail, accuracy, and completenessAbility to effectively work in both group settings as well as independentlyKnowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Navision and Advent Portfolio Exchange software Knowledge of Vestmark One and Redi2 Wealth Manager software applicationsGeneral knowledge of accounting principlesIn addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
