The Manager of Special Missions Program Management will lead a team of program managers responsible for the execution of complex, cross-functional programs within the Special Missions portfolio. This role ensures alignment with Textron eAviation’s strategic objectives, regulatory compliance, and customer commitments, while fostering innovation and operational excellence across the program lifecycle.
What will your main scope be?
• Lead and mentor a team of Program Managers overseeing Special Missions aircraft and systems integration programs.
• Support strategic planning and resource allocation for the Special Missions portfolio.
• Oversee bid and proposal activities, including resource planning, cost estimation, and technical strategy alignment.
• Drive program execution from proposal through delivery, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, budget, and quality and safety standards.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, certification, finance, and customer support teams to ensure seamless program delivery.
• Serve as the primary liaison between executive leadership and program teams, providing regular updates on performance metrics, risks, and mitigation strategies.
• Champion a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.
What do we expect from the candidate?
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; Master’s degree or PMP certification preferred.
• 8 years of experience in aerospace program management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of delivering complex, multi-disciplinary programs on time and within budget.
• Strong understanding of aircraft certification processes and defense-related program execution.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with Textron eAviation platforms and familiarity with Special Missions configurations is desirable.
• Experience managing international defense or government contracts. (preferred)
• Familiarity with Textron’s business units and operational structure. (preferred)

Kaj bo vaše glavno področje delovanja?

• Izvajanje programov od začetne ponudbe do končne dostave, ob zagotavljanju skladnosti z obsegom, roki, proračunom ter standardi kakovosti in varnosti.
• Sodelovanje z različnimi oddelki (prodaja, inženiring, proizvodnja, dobavna veriga, certifikacija, finance, podpora strankam) za nemoteno izvedbo programov.
• Povezovanje vodstva z operativnimi ekipami ter redno poročanje o ključnih kazalnikih uspešnosti, tveganjih in ukrepih za njihovo obvladovanje.
• Spodbujanje kulture odgovornosti, stalnega izboljševanja in medfunkcijskega sodelovanja.
Kaj pričakujemo od kandidata/kandidatke?
• Diploma iz inženirstva, poslovnih ved ali sorodnega področja; zaželen magisterij ali certifikat PMP.
• Več kot 8 let izkušenj z vodenjem programov v letalski industriji, od tega vsaj 3 leta na vodstveni funkciji.
• Dokazani uspehi pri izvedbi kompleksnih, multidisciplinarnih programov v skladu z roki in proračunom.
• Dobro poznavanje postopkov certificiranja letal in izvajanja programov, povezanih z obrambo.
• Odlične komunikacijske, pogajalske in veščine upravljanja deležnikov.
• Zaželene izkušnje s platformami Textron eAviation in poznavanje konfiguracij za posebne misije.
• Izkušnje pri upravljanju mednarodnih obrambnih ali vladnih pogodb. (Zaželjenjo)
