Job Description:
· Oversee the day-to-day office operations of theCitywide Special Events Department. · Assist Regional Special Events Manager with thecoordination of all casino event projects. · Oversee citywide event on-call and temporarystaffing and scheduling against established event calendar. · Assist and coordinate various property/marketingfunctions assigned. · Presentation creation and meeting preparation asneeded. · Maintain and develop relationships with internaldepartments and external vendors. · Provide assistance to our internal and externalcustomers in a friendly, timely and efficient manner. · Maintains confidentiality of sensitivematerials. · Must comply with Responsible Gaming guidelinesoutlined by Caesars Entertainment and complete annual refresher modules.
Qualifications:
· Two years previous Casino Marketing experiencerequired. · Ability to organize and maintain a wide varietyof activities in a multi-tasking, fast paced environment. · Excellent interpersonal, communication, teambuilding, and problem-solving skills are required. · Heavy clerical and guest service levelexperience a must. · Computer literate with software systems toinclude IMB, Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point),Adobe, APS and AS400 systems. · Must be flexible to work any day of the week andany shift and long hours when necessary. · Minimum 21 years of age and be able to obtain aGaming Sheriff’s card.
Physical, Mental and EnvironmentalDemands:
· Must be able to move in and around the Casino/Hotelareas and other special event promotion locations the entire shift. · Must be able to stand and walk for long periods. · May work outdoors. · Must be able to keep aware of the constantchanges and enhancements of events and promotions. · Must be able to respond calmly and handle manycustomer demands in a fast paced environment. · Must be able to bend, stoop, crouch. Kneel,twist, balance, and work at a desk. · Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. · Responds to visual and aural cues. · Must have manual dexterity to be able to operatethe following equipment: computer, telephone, photo copy machine, fax machine, ten key, printer and videopoker/slot machines. · Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke.
