Special Education Teacher Location: Ramona, CA Pay Rate: $60–$65 per hour Full Time: 40 hours per week Duration: ASAP through the end of the school year Grade Levels: K–12 Specialty: Mild/Moderate SPED (M/M SPED) Position Overview The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, provides high-quality educational services to special education students from kindergarten through grade 12. This role emphasizes collaborative work, including participation in planning and implementing individualized programs, delivering specialized instruction, offering tutorial assistance, and partnering with general education staff to support student success. Responsibilities + Deliver specialized academic instruction to students with diverse learning needs. + Participate in the development, implementation, and monitoring of IEPs. + Work collaboratively with general education teachers to promote inclusive practices. + Provide consultation and support to staff regarding student needs and successful instructional strategies. + Maintain accurate and compliant documentation. + Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies aligned with student goals. + Adhere to all federal, state, and district regulations and professional standards. Minimum Requirements + Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred. + Valid state teaching certificate as required by state and district regulations. + State Teacher Certification Preferred: + Standard Elementary Teaching + Standard Secondary Teaching + Standard Special Teaching + Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred. + Minimum of one year of teaching experience preferred. + Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice. + Current CPR certification, if applicable. + TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray, if required. + Current health certificate per contract or state regulations. + Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements. + Must be at least 18 years of age. Additional Information + Mild/Moderate SPED population. + Full-time, 40 hours per week. + Assignment runs ASAP through the end of the school year.
