Location: Parker, CO (near Castle Rock)
Pay Rate: $52/hour
Contract Duration: Remainder of the 2025–2026 School Year
Schedule: 37.5 student contact hours/week | Option for 1 remote work day (Tuesdays)
Caseload: Approximately 18–22 students

Position Overview
Amergis is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to provide high-quality educational services to students in grades K–7. Under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to design and implement individualized education programs (IEPs), deliver specialized instruction, and support general education staff through consultation and training.
Key Responsibilities
+ Develop and implement IEPs tailored to student needs.
+ Provide direct instruction and tutorial assistance to students.
+ Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff.
+ Maintain compliance with federal, state, and district regulations.
+ Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Minimum Requirements
+ Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred).
+ Valid Colorado teaching certificate or ability to obtain CO CDE Special Education Generalist License.
+ Minimum of one year teaching experience (preferred).
+ Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred.
+ Current CPR certification (if applicable).
+ TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable).
+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.
+ Must be at least 18 years of age.
