Special Education Teacher (Long-Term Sub) – Fulton, MD Position Title: Special Education Teacher Location: Fulton, MD 20759 Schedule: Monday–Friday, School Hours Hours: 35 hours per week Contract Length: 4 months (Maternity Coverage) Start Date: March 9, 2026 or upon credentialing (approximately 3 weeks from offer) Interview: Virtual interview required Position Overview Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking two dedicated Special Education Teachers to support students within the specialized programs, a public-school-based program serving students with intensive needs. Candidates should be comfortable working in a higher-acuity environment than a typical public school setting and committed to delivering high-quality instruction and individualized support. Assignment Details (2 Long-Term Substitute Roles) 1. High School Classroom (Multiple Disabilities) + Class size: 4–5 students + All students use wheelchairs + Students have multiple disabilities + Most students use communication systems + Support required for toileting and feeding + Three students require tube feeding + Staffing support: 2 paraprofessionals and 1 student assistant 2.
