Special Education Teacher (K–3) – Rainier, OR – $58/hr Position Overview The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, provides high-quality instructional services to special education students in kindergarten through grade 12. This role requires active collaboration in planning and implementing individualized student programs, including specialized instruction, case management, and consultation with general education staff and related service providers. Assignment Details + Location: Rainier, OR + Start Date: January 12, 2026 + End Date: End of the 2025–2026 school year + Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:30 AM–4:45 PM (Fridays are non-contract days) + Hours: 35 hours/week + Duration: Approximately 5 months + Pay Rate: $58/hour + Grade Level: K–3 + Setting: Self-contained special education classroom + Modality: In-person Responsibilities + Provide direct instruction to students receiving special education services + Manage IEPs, caseload documentation, and compliance requirements + Collect and analyze student data to inform instruction + Direct and support instructional assistants + Collaborate with classroom staff and related service providers + Address a range of student behaviors using appropriate interventions Minimum Requirements + Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred + Active Special Education teaching license or ability to transfer licensure quickly + Valid state teaching certificate as required + One year of teaching experience preferred + Preferred certifications: + Standard Elementary Teaching + Standard Secondary Teaching + Standard Special Education Teaching + Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred + Compliance with professional standards of practice + CPR certification (if applicable) + TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable) + Current health certificate (as required) + Must meet federal, state, and local requirements + Must be at least 18 years of age Contact Information Cyrus Vess National Recruitment Manager 813-371-5185 davess@amergis.com Benefits At Amergis, we firmly believe that our employees are the heartbeat of our organization and we are happy to offer the following benefits: + Competitive pay & weekly paychecks + Health, dental, vision, and life insurance + 401(k) savings plan + Awards and recognition programs *Benefit eligibility is dependent on employment status.
