Salary: $43 / Hour Special Education Teacher – Jefferson City, MO - Location: Jefferson City, Missouri - Pay: $43.00/hour - Hours: 35 hours/week - Start Date: September 8, 2025 - Duration: 9 months About the Role The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, provides high-quality educational services to students with severe disabilities, ages 6–21. This role requires a strong commitment to individualized instruction, collaboration with general education staff, and creating a safe, supportive learning environment for students with significant behavioral and developmental needs. Key Responsibilities + Deliver specialized instruction and support to students with severe disabilities. + Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). + Collaborate with general education teachers, behavior technicians (BTs), and support staff. + Manage classrooms with high behavioral needs, including students who may exhibit aggressive behaviors (e.g., hitting, biting, kicking). + Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
