Special Education Teacher – 2025/2026 School Year Location: Near Colorado Springs, CO Schedule: Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours/week Contract Length: Full 2025–2026 School Year Openings: 7 positions (Elementary & High School; mild–severe settings) Position Overview The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, provides high-quality instructional services to K–12 students with special needs. This role requires strong collaboration with general education staff and active participation in planning and implementing individualized student programs, including specialized instruction, consultation, and academic support. Requirements + Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred) + Valid or eligible Colorado Teaching License with Special Education Generalist Endorsement + Minimum one year of teaching experience (preferred) + State Teacher Certifications (preferred): + Standard Elementary Teaching + Standard Secondary Teaching + Standard Special Teaching + Preferred endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) + Compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations + CPR certification (if applicable) + TB test or chest X-ray (if applicable) + Current health certificate (if required) + Must be at least 18 years old Why Amergis?
