Schedule: Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours/week
Start Date: 11/10/2025
Duration: 28 weeks (Remainder of 2025–2026 School Year; possible ESY openings)
Position Overview
Amergis Staffing is seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers (K–12) to provide high-quality instructional support to students with diverse learning needs. Under the guidance of the Special Education Program Administrator, the teacher will participate in developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized student programs. Responsibilities include specialized instruction, consultation with general education staff, and ensuring student success through collaborative planning.
General Education teachers comfortable supporting a SPED population may also be considered.
Minimum Requirements
+ Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)
+ Valid state teaching certificate as required by district/contract
+ Minimum 1 year of teaching experience (preferred)
+ State Teacher Certification:
+ Standard Elementary Teaching (preferred)
+ Standard Secondary Teaching (preferred)
+ Standard Special Education Teaching (preferred)
+ Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) endorsement (preferred)
+ Compliance with all professional standards
+ Current CPR certification (if applicable)
+ TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable)
+ Current health certificate (per state/contract regulations)
+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
