Special Education Teacher
Special Education Teacher – Full Time Boulder, Colorado Start Date: Immediate Amergis is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher to support an elementary-level Autism classroom in Boulder, Colorado. This position is 37.5 hours per week and follows the school’s daily schedule. The classroom consists of students with Autism who require structured instruction, behavior supports, and individualized learning plans. Local candidates are paid $54 per hour. Travel candidates receive a weekly gross package of $2,297.50. Position Overview The Special Education Teacher will provide direct instruction, behavioral support, and differentiated learning for students with Autism in an elementary school setting. This includes IEP development, progress monitoring, collaboration with school teams, and implementation of evidence-based instructional strategies. Responsibilities + Provide specialized academic instruction to students in an elementary Autism classroom. + Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). + Conduct assessments to support IEP goals, progress reports, and data-driven instruction. + Collaborate with paraprofessionals, related service providers, administrators, and families. + Implement behavioral supports and structured routines appropriate for Autism classrooms. + Adapt curriculum and modify lessons based on student needs and learning levels. + Maintain accurate documentation, classroom reports, and compliance records. + Support students with mild to moderate disabilities as needed. + Work onsite and be flexible with school assignments as required. Schedule Hours: 7:35 a.m. – 3:05 p.m. Weekly Hours: 37.5 Start: Immediate Education and Licensure Requirements for Colorado Schools Candidates must meet Colorado Department of Education (CDE) requirements for working in a public-school setting.
