Job Highlights Amergis is seeking a passionate and fully credentialed Special Education Teacher (SET) to support K–5 students at a single school site in Arizona. This position offers a manageable caseload of 22 students, supported by a dedicated paraprofessional who has been with the program for 3 years. You will work closely with general education teachers, the special education team, and support staff to deliver high-quality instruction, meet IEP goals, and ensure academic and behavioral success for students with diverse needs. Assignment Details: + Grade Level: K–5, elementary, one school site + Caseload: 22 students + Support: 1 full-time paraprofessional in classroom + Location: Avondale, Arizona + Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM + Modality: In-person + Contract: Full-time + Team Culture: Strong leadership, excellent support systems, collaborative staff Responsibilities: + Provide direct instruction and support aligned with student IEPs + Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure inclusive opportunities + Implement academic and behavioral interventions + Conduct assessments, progress monitoring, and documentation + Oversee and collaborate with the classroom paraprofessional + Maintain regular communication with families and support teams + Complete the school year. + Responsible for meeting all IEP deadlines + Communicate with school staff, parents and guardians regarding best practices.
